5 places you can watch Danish Melodi Grand Prix
Big screens, glitter and all day celebrations across Copenhagen
On 14 February 2026 at 20.00, it will be decided who will represent Denmark at Eurovision 2026 in May. Across Copenhagen, bars and venues are turning the final into a proper viewing party, whether you are there for the music, the atmosphere, or both. Here are five venues opening their doors for a collective watch party.

Centralhjørnet
The world’s oldest existing gay bar opens its doors for a day dedicated to the music fest, with the show screened on several screens. During the day, there will be guessing of the winner, and a correct answer might even win you a prize, as they are also hosting a competition. If you want to settle in at Centralhjørnet, you can bring your own food and reserve a table from 6:00 pm by writing to mail@centralhjornet.dk. Read more in their calendar here.
Where: Kattesundet 18, 1458 København
When: 18.00

Cafe Runddelen
In the heart of Nørrebro, this authentic bodega is bringing in the big gear. They are promising a big-screen viewing and powerful speakers. If you are up for a competition, you also have the chance to win prizes by guessing which songs make it to third, second, and first place in the Melodi Grand Prix. Entry is free, and Cafe Runddelen offers a 0.5 litre of their own draft beer for just 30 kroner.
Where: Nørrebrogade 151A, 2200 København N
When: 19.00

Matriklen
In 2025, a new community oriented cultural centre opened in Amager, where supporters can even buy shares to help keep the place running. Naturally, a "folkefest" like the Melodi Grand Prix is a perfect fit for the venue, bringing people together to celebrate their shared love of the music competition. Community will be at the heart of the atmosphere, where everyone is welcome, and as the organisers put it: “Come as you are or come in glitter.” The evening will also include a quiz, and the bar will serve drinks with or without alcohol.
Where: Frankrigsgade 10-12, 2300 København S

Tap 21 Craft beer
Tap1 is the perfect place if you love craft beer and the Melodi Grand Prix. On this night, the two come together in a cosy atmosphere, with ten different draft beers to choose from, brewed with Danish and international craftsmanship. The owner is a true beer enthusiast, and that passion is reflected in both the selection and the physical surroundings, which have a long history as a neighbourhood tavern spanning many decades. The bar also aims to always offer organic, gluten-free, and non-alcoholic alternatives.

Masken Bar
“Your local gay bar,” as Masken Bar calls itself, is perfectly located in the heart of Copenhagen on the party street Studiestræde. This event is a tradition celebrated every year and runs all day, so whether you are a passionate fan who just cannot get enough or are looking for a flexible pre- or after-party, Masken Bar can accommodate your needs. Behind the bar, you can choose from cocktails, beer, “sjusser” (simple mixed drinks, ed.), shots, or wine. Everyone is welcome, and friendly staff and regulars create a great setting for meeting new people.
