Get inside Copenhagen’s creative spaces
3daysofdesign brings exhibitions, talks, open showrooms and shared dinners to the city from 10 to 12 June
It began 13 years ago with four Danish brands in an old warehouse in Nordhavn. Today, 3daysofdesign describes itself as Denmark’s official design festival, with local and international names opening doors across Copenhagen for three days in June. This year, the programme runs from 10 to 12 June 2026 under the theme Make This Moment Matter.
From small design gathering to city wide programme
3daysofdesign has become a recurring festival for furniture, interiors, architecture, craft and new ideas. It is not held in one fair hall. Instead, the programme is spread across Copenhagen, where showrooms, galleries, cultural venues, courtyards and public spaces become part of the route.
The festival started in 2013 as a small initiative by Montana, Erik Jørgensen, Anker & Co and Kvadrat in Nordhavn. Since then, it has grown into one of the main design events in Scandinavia, drawing design professionals, press, brands and visitors who want to see what is moving in Danish and international design.
The organisers describe this year’s theme as a way to look beyond new products and focus on the choices behind them: what is made, what is reused, what is given value, and how design can respond to the present.
“Make This Moment Matter is a positive form of empowerment, urging people to create something with a purpose that’s meaningful. As a design community, we have the wherewithal to make a difference. We have each other. It takes courage to create, and I hope Make This Moment Matter gives designers the impetus to be proactive, and to take action without all the answers,” says Signe Byrdal Terenziani, CEO & Managing Director of 3daysofdesign.
The present as a starting point
One of the main programme elements is Entering the Now, a symposium at KLUB, meaning a focused series of talks and discussions curated by AI expert Tey Bannerman and social entrepreneur Veronica D’Souza. Across five sessions, the talks focus on presence, value, purpose, waste and the wider consequences of individual decisions. Speakers include Paola Antonelli, Yinka Ilori, Alice Rawsthorne, Natsai Audrey Chieza and Anupama Kundoo.
“At a time when the world faces overlapping crises and rapid transformation, design cannot remain speculative or detached. It must engage with the present as a condition of responsibility, and as an opportunity for meaningful action,” say curators Tey Bannerman and Veronica D’Souza.
A seat at the table
There is also a more social addition this year: Long Table Dinners. Every evening during the festival, dinners will be held in venues across the city, from rooftops and gardens to workshops and waterside spaces. The idea is to make the festival less about moving from one display to the next, and more about staying a little longer, talking and meeting people around the table.
Eight districts across the city

The festival is organised around the areas: Nordhavn, Christianshavn, Holmen, Frederiksstaden, Kongens Nytorv, Rosengård, Islands Brygge and Kultur.
The district format makes the festival easy to navigate, especially for first time visitors. Instead of trying to see everything, you can choose one area and follow the programme from there. The eight districts move through different sides of Copenhagen, from Nordhavn’s harbour architecture and Holmen’s maritime past to Frederiksstaden’s royal streets, Rosengård’s old town setting and Islands Brygge’s waterfront.
