For Copenhageners who do not speak Danish, a trip to the cinema can take a little extra research. Gloria Biograf is making the choice easier with Expat Cinema, a programme of screenings that international audiences can follow.

The line-up includes Bong Joon-ho’s crime drama Memories of Murder, the documentary Christiania and Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron, among many other titles, all with English subtitles.

Located in the heart of Copenhagen, Gloria is the smaller sister venue of Grand Teatret. Its single screen is dedicated to arthouse films, documentaries and international releases that often fall outside the city’s mainstream cinema programme.
