Luckily, there are plenty of offers around if you know where to find them. These are the sites we check when we want to try somewhere new while keeping the bill down. ## Making plans for tonight? Start with [Early Bird](https://www.earlybird.dk/en/kobenhavn/restaurants?ref=seecopenhagencity.com). It lists tables available that same day with one-third taken off the food bill. You book a specific time through the site and show the confirmation when you arrive. The selection changes from day to day, so it is best suited to evenings when you are flexible about where you end up. ## Prefer to plan ahead? [Special](https://special.dk/?ref=seecopenhagencity.com) is Early Bird’s sister concept, but here you buy a particular menu or dining experience that can be used within a stated period. The offers usually come with a saving of 40-50 per cent, and because the menu is set in advance, you know both the price and what is included before booking. It is also worth browsing the food section on [MeYou](https://www.meyou.dk/oplevelser/mad-og-drikke/kobenhavn?ref=seecopenhagencity.com), which brings together offers previously found through names such as Niche, Downtown and Spis i Byen. The selection often includes brunch, sushi, buffets, takeaway and set menus at local venues. Check the conditions carefully before buying. Some vouchers are limited to certain weekdays or require you to contact the venue separately to reserve a table. ## Set an alarm for Tipster [Tipster](https://www.tipster.dk/campaigns/?ref=seecopenhagencity.com) is one of our favourite places to discover limited offers from Copenhagen restaurants, bakeries and wine bars. New drops are released at 07:01 every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. There are only a certain number available, and the most popular ones can disappear quickly. Recent campaigns have ranged from Michelin-level kitchens to neighbourhood bakeries and newer openings. The newsletter is useful here. Otherwise, it is very easy to remember the drop sometime around lunch, when the best option has already sold out. ## Keep an eye on restaurant festivals Several recurring events offer special menus or fixed prices for a limited period. Not every ticket is cheap, but they can be a good opportunity to visit somewhere that would normally cost more. ### Dining Week [Dining Week](https://diningweek.dk/?ref=seecopenhagencity.com) takes place during weeks 7 and 42 each year. Participating restaurants serve either three courses, five servings or a tasting menu at a fixed festival price. Tickets are bought for a particular venue, date and time, and the most sought after slots tend to go first. ### Moules Frites Festival [Moules Frites Festival](https://madbillet.dk/show/event/moules-frites-festival-2026?ref=seecopenhagencity.com) is a pretty simple concept: participating restaurants each serve their own version of moules frites with a glass of wine. The 2026 edition runs from 3-9 August this year, with tickets priced at DKK 189 per person including the booking fee. The event returns annually and is worth remembering for late summer. ### Seafood Festival Seafood Festival is another recurring event organised through [Madbillet](https://madbillet.dk/?ref=seecopenhagencity.com), with participating restaurants around Denmark creating set seafood menus. The 2026 edition began on 22 May. Copenhagen restaurants are usually part of the programme, although the selection changes each year. ### Copenhagen Cooking [Copenhagen Cooking](https://www.copenhagencooking.dk/?lang=en&ref=seecopenhagencity.com) is much broader than a traditional restaurant week, but the programme always includes special dinners, communal tables, pop ups and menus created for the occasion. In 2026, the festival runs from 21-30 August and includes more than 100 experiences across the city. Prices vary considerably, so this is less about finding a blanket discount and more about spotting a well priced one-off meal. There are affordable options hidden among the bigger dinners. This year’s programme, for example, includes a communal meal in Mjølnerparken from DKK 50-100, alongside lunches, picnics and long table events at different price points. ### Copenhagen Burgerfest [Copenhagen Burgerfest](https://madbillet.dk/show/festival/koebenhavn-burgerfest-2026?ref=seecopenhagencity.com) takes over Flæsketorvet in the Meatpacking District for three days each spring. Entry was free in 2026, while burgers from the participating restaurants could be bought individually or reserved in advance. It is more street food event than discount scheme, but it is an easy way to sample creations from several places without committing to a full restaurant meal.
