When Villa Copenhagen opened in 2020, with its historic setting and classic atmosphere, it marked the first step in transforming Postbyen from a former postal site into a whole new neighbourhood in central Copenhagen. Now another hotel opening is on the way, and the mood will be quite different. Locke Copenhagen seems to bring an international, design-led concept where modern chic meets a more relaxed, urban way of living. The hotel focuses on business travellers, staycation guests, digital nomads and groups, with flexible stays for both short and longer visits. Students and even four-legged companions are also part of the target group.

“We know that pets are what really make a home, a home. So, all Locke properties are dog friendly.”

Instead of traditional hotel rooms, the property is made up of studios and apartments set across two rotunda towers. In total, it includes 234 units, among them a penthouse suite with panoramic outlook of the city.

In addition to the studios and apartments, the property will feature a restaurant, coffee shop, rooftop bar, gym and meeting facilities.

The exact opening date has not yet been announced, but the new addition to Postbyen is expected to open in March 2026.
